It looks like I'm trying to off him
It's been a while since we visited our friends at the ER(almost 2 months!)...so I had to push Hubbyman off the bed and create an injury so we could go back for a visit.
Ok...so maybe I didn't actually push him off but he did get injured stepping off of it while switching out a ceiling fan in our bedroom. Yeah, i know...what the...?
The technical term for the injury he sustained is Gastrocnemius rupture/tear in the calf. What is it really? It's a muscle or ligament that has come detached from the bone. Ouch! The name alone sounds painful.
The good thing is it usually will heal on its own without surgery if it is the muscle...so thats good. Had to go get an MRI on it this morning just to see how serious of a tear it is. The bad news is If it's a ligament they will have to surgically reattach it...that's not so good.
I guess our old bodies just aren't as durable as they use to be...I mean when you start getting serious injuries from just doing normal stuff, it's all downhill from there. Next stop broken hip.
I know what I'm getting Hubbyman for his birthday this year...

so sorry to hear this! home maintenance is the worst; i'd much rather do the dusting and vacuuming!
hope he's able to take it easy and heal quickly!
